A browser-based volumetric 3D voxel art studio featuring custom physical materials, cinematic rendering, custom environment controls, and an isolated asset creator.
Voxel Art Studio is a volumetric 3D modeling and painting environment. It goes far beyond a basic grid, allowing you to design block-based art using professional tools such as axis-aligned symmetry, custom rectangular boundaries, and drag-and-fill area tools. To support custom creations, the studio features a dedicated, isolated Asset Creator Mode. Here, you can design individual building blocks (like walls, pillars, or furniture) with custom X/Y/Z dimension controls, edit them at any time, and stamp them instantly into your main studio layout using single-click actions.
The environment tab gives you complete control over your backdrop presets (like clay desks, dark studios, or retro synthwave grids), sun elevation angle, ground colors, and floor grid helper line settings. The physical material system enables physical attributes (metallic reflection, roughness, emissive neon glow, and glass transmission/refraction) directly on color slots. Once finished, switch to the Render tab to activate professional post-processing parameters like bloom intensity and supersampling quality, then export your designs to OBJ (with vertex colors), VOX (for MagicaVoxel), or high-res PNG.
1. Build: Start in the Build tab. Select your tool (Place, Erase, Paint, or Extrude), choose a mirror symmetry axis if needed, and click or drag on the 3D grid. You can also use the Box tool to drag and fill large regions. 2. Asset Creator: Switch to the Assets tab and click 'Create New Custom Asset' to enter the isolated workspace. Adjust the container dimensions (Width, Height, Depth) in the Build tab, design your asset, name it, and click 'Save & Exit'. You can then place it in the main scene or click the paintbrush icon next to it in your assets list to edit it again. 3. Material: Select a color slot from the palette in the Material tab and adjust its physical properties (Roughness, Metalness, Emissive neon, and Transmission/Glass) to dynamically update all corresponding voxels in the scene. 4. Environment & Render: Tweak the sun angles, backdrop styles, and floor grids in the Environment tab, then configure post-processing quality and antialiasing in the Render tab. 5. Export: Use the toolbar dropdown to save your work as an OBJ mesh, MagicaVoxel VOX file, or high-res PNG snapshot.
Right-click and drag the mouse to orbit (rotate) the camera. To pan the camera, hold down the Space bar while dragging with the Left Mouse Button. You can also scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out.
It is an isolated workspace where you can build individual components (like pillars, doors, or furniture) without affecting your main design. You can specify a custom rectangular grid size (from 4 to 32 in each dimension) for the asset, edit it later, and stamp it anywhere on the main grid.
Yes, the exported OBJ includes vertex colors. Most 3D software (like Blender or Unity) will import these vertex colors automatically, allowing you to render the model instantly without configuring custom textures.
Yes. The exported VOX file is compiled in the standard MagicaVoxel binary format, preserving your model's 3D coordinates, custom bounding box size, and color palette.
Interactive watercolor painting with realistic fluid dynamics and paper effects.
Multi-layer, multi-frame pixel art editor and animator with palette management, onion-skinning, sprite-sheet export, and image-to-pixel import.
Design pixel & block display fonts with a real-time editor, live preview, sprite sheet, SVG, and TTF export.
Design System Lab and palette studio. Visualize swatches in interactive UI mockups, render canvas-based generative art, adjust harmony with the color wheel, verify WCAG contrast compliance, and simulate color blindness.
