Physics
Interactive physics simulations for motion, forces, waves, fluids, fields, space, and light.
The Physics category is a set of interactive simulations for motion, forces, waves, fluids, fields, and orbital mechanics. Each tool runs in real time in the browser, lets you tune the underlying parameters, and exports the current frame as an image. The tools are designed for visual exploration and intuition-building rather than numerical accuracy, though several use real physical models underneath.
For orbital and gravitational systems, Galaxy Sim generates spiral galaxies with thousands of particles on logarithmic spiral arms, Black Hole simulates an accretion disk with tunable gravity and relativistic jets, and Solar System renders the Sun and eight planets on Keplerian orbits with an adjustable time scale. For fluid and wave dynamics, Fluid Dynamics runs a Stam-style stable-fluids solver on a 64x64 grid with click-and-drag dye injection, and Wave Sim propagates a 2D height field with finite-difference wave equations and reflective boundaries.
For mechanics and chaos, Double Pendulum integrates the full coupled equations of motion for two rigid links with a fading phase-space trail, and Paint Pendulum extends the idea into a 3D sandbox where a dripping paint can swings over paper. For fields and quantum visualization, Magnetic Field integrates dipole field lines forward and backward from draggable poles, Quantum Field renders a 2D complex wavefunction with real, imaginary, and probability components, and Optics Lab is a full 3D geometric-optics sandbox with lasers, mirrors, lenses, and prisms.
Most tools in this category use Three.js or WebGL for rendering, with a few running on 2D canvas for simpler systems. Export to PNG or JPG is available everywhere.
